A comment: the Alibre Design learning curve

See, Alibre really does read these posts.

The latest issue (May) of Desktop Engineering has an excellent ad about their learning curve. I'll post a pic in the binaries.

They just didn't wish to gloat in the forum.

I did a demo on the Solidworks software and found that, after using Alibre, SW is a little more than difficult to get around in. I kept asking the person doing the demo to show me how to do certain thing and he to keep looking through 2-3 submenus to find things. He kept getting in the wrong menu and had to go to another one.

This rep used SW for 10 yrs :? and still can't go straight to the menu needed to do some design techniques. So this keeps me looking like the Alibre add on the learning curve.

I am not ditching SW as it has some very nice features (even though most of them were extra costs on top of the base price). It looks like SW just has more 3rd party software working on their system than Alibre. So lets all support those 3rd party apps to keep the base Alibre price down.
