Advanced select sketch projection

Hi all,

I have a stl which I am remodelling to a solid. When in the sketch I am picking some stl edges to project into the sketch. If I try and click more than one edge with 'advanced selection' it doesn't work. Is this correct? Normally you can select loads if you are just selecting, but with advanced select it seems to be restricted. Video attached. It makes for a very long projection if we need to pick one line, click ok, then do it all again and so on

That's correct - the advanced selector is (for example) used to choose one edge from several in close proximity, with perhaps one or more hidden behind a feature.

Yes, so the selector is one at a time, that's fine no issues there.
I use the advance selector to pick an edge, it shows up in the dialog box. I then use advanced selector again to pick another edge, the first edge selected in the dialog box disappears. Though you use advanced selector to pick one edge at a time, the list doesn't get any longer. In the vid you can see the edge number in the dialog box changes and the list doesn't get any longer.
