Alibre Linear pattern not parametric?

Hi Alibres

I have struggled with this problem for a while. If I secect a reference line or axis as the First direction for linear pattern, then when I change the angle og the reference line or axis, then the pattern seem completely unattached.
Why??
What am I doing wrong?

Or is this an error in the latest update as I can't reload the pattern and change ex. umber of instances etc.

Any idea to a work around ?

Patterning sketch figures is a one shot operation with no ability to edit (unless you delete the figures and re-apply).

You need to use pattern features to have editability!

Alibre has always been this way.

As @simonb65 points out Sketch patterns don't have any editability so it is better to use Feature patterns which resolve faster and now give previews of the intended pattern.

However, if you are up to the task of creating a complex sketch (which is advised against) for the sake of a pattern then you need to do some editing of the pattern after it is created as shown in this image.

Just to note to head off inevitable questions: I think that is a feature not accessible in Alibre Atom3D.
