Only by the rumors that have spread:

1) Improved GUI
2) support for surface features
3) Boolean features within part environment, to enhance mold making capabilities.
4) API

That's all I remember. Others may remember more. This is an unofficial list, by the way. As mentioned above, these are just the features that have rumored to be appearing in v8 through discussions within this forum.

From the recent Alibre News June 2004:

Alibre Design 8.0 Progressing Well Toward Late Summer Release

The eighth major release of Alibre Design will provide some advanced free-form modeling tools like a 3D Sketch and surfaces. 3D sketches can be used for sweep paths or as guide curves in a loft feature to more precisely control the shape.

In addition, Alibre Design 8.0 will be able to import surfaces which can then be used to slice a solid, extruded to using the "To Geometry" option of the Extrude, or thickened into a "sheet solid" for further modeling operations.

Other planned enhancements include a new Design Boolean feature for simplifying the creation of mold cavities, and an application programming interface allowing users to customize Alibre Design. We'll keep you updated on our progress.

I've additionally heard talk of improvements to sheetmetal, and perhaps the availability of Intranet Server Repository software.
