There is an open API for everyone who wants to integrate 3rd parts software into Alibre...
further i wouldn't prefer a rental which is over the yearly maintenance fee nor i would be happy about a program that stops working after dropping the rental...
For me it's all running well with the Alibre model...

ironically the mecsoft people have the same criteria, although they still lease licenses by the month or year.
