Another 2D giveaway

Hello!

Anyone tested this? From the "hype" it looks as it could be a good tool for editing 2D (AutoCAD'ish) drawings when the need arises.

Best Regards,

Magne

Magne,

If that's all you want to do, you're probably better off with the free version of ProgeCAD.

MilesH,

I have teste Pogecad, and it was OK, but it had quite a lot of bugs (at least at the time I tested it). Their forum is also full of rubbish.

Also I am unable to download the free2design software, that is the zip file is corrupt in some manner.

However, i find it interesting to test software in the CAD field just out of general interest, Also I am of course intersted in having powerful software available if its free, even if I do agree that my current needs probably could be covered by ProgeCad.

So I guess I am really asking; has anyone made this work?

Best Regards,

Magne O,

I just downloaded it. It installed ok but I get "The product registration is not valid" - no registration dialog box, so...... I can't comment beyond this....

If you want the most stable version of Intellicad, I'd recommend BricsCad.

I use Adeko intellicad 6 for about a year and I am satisfied with its stability. When I work on a very big drawing, sometimes undo command doesn't work as expected. They say it will be handled in the new version which will be released in a month. Other than this, it is good to me.

Also there is another intellicad version named Axcad. it is not bad but has some minor stability issues.

Thanks Ralf. I did notice that. Frankly, I'm a little leary of small , obscure sites, with free (present company excepted) programs. Viruses, bugs, support, longevity, getting locked in to a format no longer supported or only with purchase, (I know, dwg compatible). But thanks

This probably the best "Free" 2D CAD out there is quite "heavy" but works better than progecad and free2design, Progecad is good but buggy and Free2Design i did not like the interface and seems slow to me.

this free 2D is great, can handle blocks, hatches layers etc... and is parametric, also there is a new version and has goal seek (i think is activated on the free2D check this video:
