How do i save a file as a .DWG ?
Of Course - this assumes - you have created a Model, or maybe even an Assembly - and then created an Alibre Drawing first - which can then ...

When in your Drawing, you use Export, and select DWG as the output file type.
Reason being = you need a 2D representation to be able to deliver a 2D file, so a full Alibre Design model, being in 3D - needs to first be converted - by way of importing various views into a drawing (and adding dimensions, detail views, sections, etc. in the drawing) so it can be communicated out into the flat world of 2D! If you want to get a 3D file into DWG format (as 3D) then, export as a SAT file and import that into Autocad, ACIS enabled version of Intellicad, et al.
