Asking for ideas to produce a radial profile - resolved

Think of a circular BMX track. At 0°, 90°, 180°, and 270° the profile crests. It transitions to a trough at 45°, 135°, 225°, and 315°. To complete this example the inner radius is 10 mm and the outer radius is 30 mm.
I tried to sketch a similar idea.sketch.jpg
I've thought about this too long , it's time to call in the brain-trust.
I'm not even sure this is possible.

This sounds very similar to process of creating a wave washer. Take a look at this article to see if you can adopt the same technique for your part.

Also, search the forum for "wave washer" for other posts/solutions.

Thanks Harold! I think this might work I'll give a try. I can create the wave function then subtract it from a disk.

That will work. Thanks again. I'd mark this "resolved" but evidently I can't do that.

Cheers,
Dennis
