Building a brick wall

I'm trying to build some brick walls, but I don't want to constrain each brick, nor each trace of bricks. I'm pretty sure the equation editor will do this but I'm not sure of how to use it.
I have bricks 7-3/4" long, 2-3/4" high & 3" deep.
If I want to create a wall 321" long & 102" high, with approximately 3/8" thick mortar between traces & approximately 1/2" mortar between each brick in a trace; and, of course the traces staggered, what would I need to do?

Have you considered the Linear Component Pattern (array) in the Assembly workspace?

Yeah, I'm using that as a work around, but I have to use 3 separate arrays for each wall.

That sounds about right... one for the first course and its clones, another for the interleaved course (staggered) and some halves at the ends?
