can't delete part in assembly V26

Can't delete or suppress part in an assembly V26. Function greyed out. can only hide.

I don't think Suppress was ever an option for assembly components. But you should still be able to Delete.

Can you post a screen shot of your workspace showing the assembly?

Thank you, Harold, yes I have deleted assembly parts countless times before, unfortunately, I can't post anything because of Intellectual property constraints. I was hoping there might be a "quick fix", I can't even unlock the part. I will persevere.

You should be able to suppress parts in an assembly.

Check that the file is not 'read only' in Windows. Make sure there is not any 'orphan' instance of Alibre running in Task Manager that could be holding the file open in the background.

Check that a part is not part of a subassembly. If it is, the Del key won't work, the delete option will be greyed out and you need to edit the subassembly and delete from there.
