Change colour of an imported file

Imported STEP files are not chameleons, they don't change colour. I have an imported step file of a case that was originally yellow but coloured it green. Now I have to put the lid on it and I cannot for anything remember how I changed the colour of the case. So now I a green case with a yellow lid. We need the picture for a brochure so it has to look decent. Any ideas how I can change the colour?

With KeyShot you can create decent renderings/pictures.

The other option with Alibre would be:
If you have an imported assembly with 3D Parts, you can change the color:
RMC on a 3D Part -> Color Properties...change the color.
