Changing material for a whole assembly

I have an assembly all by steel same material. But if want to change the material for all parts inside, I have to change one by one by hand, extreme time consuming.
Is there anyway to change assembly's each part material once for all (if they are the same)?

That sounds like something that might be accomplished with a script. Otherwise it's each part, one at a time. Tedious if there is a lot of parts to add material to. I try to get in the habit of assigning material and color when I create the part. But I still have some that don't get it added then in the assembly I "Edit Here" each part to apply mat'l and color.
