Creating a hole on the inside of a cylinder

I want to create a couple of threaded holes on the inside of a cylinder, but the hole function doesn't allow me to select the surface. I've attach my model, what I need is to have the holes on face 6, where axes 8 & 9 intersect the face.
Anyone have an idea on how I might be able to accomplish this?

Hole tool has to start from flat face or plane - so you may have to insert a plane to start from, if an existing reference plane isn't convenient to use.

I've added one hole to show an approach - could have been a bit tidier perhaps.

Ok. what's the best way to do that? Do I have to create intermediate rotated planes, then offset planes from those?
