Drawing text fields not updating

Has any one else been having trouble with Text fields pulling data from the Vault data Card updating in their drawings?

I seem to be having this really random problem and can't figure out the common thread, If there is one.

I haven't used that functionality yet, but I have noticed that when using Vault some information (I've noticed this with relationships) doesn't get fully updated until the item has been checked in.

There is the added possible complication that a F5 may be required to force the client to update its display when changes have happened.
