DXF Measurements

I'm trying to use Alibre to measure points off a DXF file. We get DXF files for parts we make. In Turbocad I often have to scale the drawing, then I move the origin to where I want it, then I use the mouse with snap to get measurements off the drawing realtive to the Oirgin.

Can I do this ?

I am still new to AD but was interested so had a look and to me the only scale function is in the modelling side so would need to be cut and pasted into modeller and extruded ,scaled, saved and then create a 2D drawing from there. Seems long winded to me but couldnt find anything else.

You can Scale an image within a Drawing and you can Scale a Custom Symbol. It might be feasible to convert the DXF to a Custom Symbol, Scale it and then Explode it?

Yep worked here , alot of faff , to do something simple , definitely one for the suggestion box me thinks!
