free 2d cad program?

Seems to me I followed a link from here for a free 2D cad program that was pretty much autocad. I had to reformat and for the life of me I can not remember the name of it, any help would be appreciated.

You are thinking of ProgeCAD I think, it is an AC LT clone based on IntelliCAD. The free version is here.

I have been using Adeko intellicad for years by now, it does almost everything that AC does. Although, they are not good at upgrading and some bug fixes. I guess it's about the money again, they don't spend much time improving the software. it's 300$.

There's been a rumor about a free well 2d program named Free2Design. I haven't found time to test it.
