Graphics problem... need help!

Hi... I hope somebody in the forum can help me...

I'm running Alibre Design 8.0 in a Foxconn (Small Form Factor compact pc) wit WinXP Pro SP1, 1GB Ram, 128 MB MX 440 NVdidia Graphics card, and a Pentium 4 2.8 GHz CPU... the graphics error that i encountere is in 2D Drawings... the dimensions are not appearing when showing hidden lines in views... and the dimensions appearing in the GUI of Alibre...

Post any suggestions...

Hi jraymundo,

it is a C++ pointer Error of Alibre.
the best attitudes are:
- Microsoft Direct3D Hardware acceleration through Direkt3D HAL
- Software emulation
- 16 bit not 32 bit!
hope it helps

We just faced the exact same problem after a reinstall :?

We spoke to support and they gave us a set of tips. The one that worked was (as Ralf mentioned above, but quoted from the AD document):

 "4. In the Alibre home window (you should see contact on the left hand side) go to: Tools > Options and go to the Display tab. Check the Software emulation button and restart Alibre. Alibre needs to be restarted for the changes to take affect."

Display errors

I experienced an almost identical problem when I first started running Alibre, the fix for me was to reinstall my video card driver, since then I have had no further problems with this particular display error.
