I'm having problems creating cross sections in a 2D drawing

Hello,

I'm having problems creating cross sections in a 2D drawing, see picture.
Why doesn't the section A-A display the cross section I've asked it to show?
When I try to offset the cross section 10 mm vertically from the centerline it works, but then it doesn't show the internal details that I want it to...
WHY?

Difficult to comment without seeing the files. Which type of section view are you attempting? Is the part imported or was it created natively in Alibre?
