Intel or AMD

Hi,

Did anybody run Alibre on Intel and AMD ?
My problem with Alibre is speed so I will get a new system.
I would like some input before I do that.

I have run Alibre on an AMD Duron 1ghz and 1.8ghz processor with no problems. I have also run it on the laptop version of an Intel PIII 1ghz w/out problems.

I have a notebook with the AMD64 processor... no problems and it screams. I also have AD on a desktop with P4 2.54 and it works fine. If I were purchasing a new desktop now, I would likely go with an AMD64.

I'll second the AMD64 for a desktop at this point (it'll be especially useful if AD ever comes up with the 64bit version that's being discussed in the enhancements thread). I'm currently running on a P4m 1.2Ghz laptop with no real issues (other than some slowness on large complicated assemblies) - it was kinda slow on a PIII 733MHz machine, but still ran without any other issues.
