Lead Screw End

Hello ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I am hoping someone can help me. I need a lead screw end cap to hold it in place. I thought I could use a couple of nuts and a fender washer, but the threads of the lead screw are not your standard threads meaning I can not screw a nut on.

So I need something that I can use to hold the lead screw in place.

Drill and tap the end of the shaft and put a plate on the end

Thanks for the GREAT suggestions.

A friend took me to look for ACME 1/2-10 nuts, which I did. There are a lot of places that have these special nuts, so my search is over.
