I thought you guys might be interested in another novel use for Alibre.
I put the project on here.

The only thing that spoiled the toolchain was that I couldn't edit the drawing to get rid of the fold lines in Alibre before it went to my laser !

Interesting post Steve. I couldn't help reading the comments from the 'eco friendly' folks. Real leather would be hard to beat from an environmental or ergonomic standpoint IMHO.

It beat me to see his comments that a (presumably plastic) synthetic leather could by any means be superior to the original too !!

The "21st C" bit was a reference to the design tool rather than the material - I was very impressed by how Alibre allowed me to make the shapes I wanted, just a bit disappointed about the 2D tool performance - it really is unusable.
