Make a 2D drawing from a 3D?

Is it possible to take a 3D layer and lay it flat into a 2D drawing so I can make a template to cut it out? I need to make a pattern to cut and form sheet metal into a funnel cone.

When you create a 2D drawing of your 3D sheet metal part model, there is an option to create a Flat Pattern view.

In the standard views creation dialog, select the More Options:



Then select the Project as Flat Pattern and use the direction arrows near the preview to orientate the view as you need or want.

No - Sheet metal workspace is only in Alibre Design Expert.
