Metric default in Drawings not taking

I'm a metric guy, so I usually just change from the installation "Inch way" to Metric as default by checking that small box in the lower-left corner.

However, unless I'm just not knowing what I'm doing, I have tried this "trick" several times on different drawings, and it keeps coming up with Inch measurements.

Not a biggie, but it would be nice if I could change permanently to metric for parts and drawings alike, BTW I do think that the part setting is OK.

Did you create dimension styles in the drawing template for millimeters?

Note that setting the current settings as default does not include dimension styles. Check the dimension styles in the drawing template.

For drawings, set up a metric template and pull that every time. I have custom A4 and A3 drawing sizes with our company details for both metric and imperial and I just select the one I want.

If the pre defined drawing templates will suffice, the ISO templates default to Metric and the ANSI to Inch.

I hadn't noticed that the settings didn't carry over!

I will use ISO templates or none.

Thanks all,
