Mouse Wheel does not Zoom....

I got a new Logitech Trackball, yesterday. This one has "three" buttons and a wheel. The wheel is a button and a wheel.

I choose Zoom, click on the part (hold down the click/select button) and turn the wheel. Nothing happens.

Any ideas?

You have to go into the mouse properties (Control panel, I think) and reassign the mouse wheel to middle button, or default, or something along those lines. YMMV (Your Mouse May Vary).

So, nothing happens if you just turn the wheel without doing anything else?

It is fixed, now!

When I first plugged it in and turn the power back on, the computer immediately recognized it and I configured it.

Problem was that I had not loaded the new driver that came with the new Trackball. My old driver recognized the new Trackball, even by the correct model name "Trackman Wheel", which is different from my older, 4-button "Trackman MarbleFX", but, obviously, the older driver did not allow for the ZOOMing feature. Loaded new driver, reconfigured Trackman and everything is cool, now!
