Has anyone used the version of MSC Nastran included in Alibre and do you think it is worth the cost of upgrading from Pro to expert? :roll:

MSC Nastran Motion

Hi Jim, I have upgraded to Expert for that motion feature among others, but have yet to try it out - as I am still mostly focused on the creation of tutorials for new users, between interuptions, and it has a 6-month license only as part of the package, if I remember right.

Also - I intend to be reselling a program for these purposes - but have yet to get the pages cleaned up and posted on my site. It allows dynamic iterative analysis and presentation of linkages, dimensions, formula, rotary motions, interactive connection to an excel spreadsheet, and more. It is aimed at the pre-modeling stages of design. Robert

I have used the evaluation version of Nastrans, and I definitely plan on upgrading when my client is ready for that stage of his development.

Last I checked the Nastrans license is now a full twelve months.
