It depends upon the universe you work in. This could be great for many users. It would not work in my universe where I must distinguish between (at a minimum): SAE, MIL, NAS, and JIC fasteners with complete and formal material's specifications. Further, there are differences in head-to-shank fillet radius, minimum fully threaded shank lengths, and minimum thread length on longer fasteners depending on which specification being employed. If these factors do not "play" in your work, such a system is fine.
