Need to lay out 3 radial lines at 120deg.

Need to lay out 3 radial lines at 120deg.

I guess I'm missing something, but I cannot seem to layout 3 radial lines at 120deg. There is no angle dimension command, or, if there is, I cannot find it.

I want to layout 3 refenence lines, so that I can sketch a part that will have 3 lobes, set at 120deg apart. Since they are reference lines, they do not have specific lengths. I guess I could designate a length and figure out the end point coordinates, using trigonometry, but that sure does seem like a lot more work than necessary. Sometimes I do miss AutoCad. :(

Any help would be appreciated! :)

kugel,

Just click one line and then the other - as long as they're not parallel, you'll get an angular dimension

If you sketch three lines so that they are not parallel, then, using the dimension tool the only dimension you can put in is angle dimension when you click on two of the lines. The two segments need not be touching or can be joined at one end, intersect, it does not matter.

Thanks guys!

I thought that I tried that, but I apparently did not properly klick on the two lines!

I also remembered about using a circular pattern. DOH!!

Thanks again. :)
