New desktop station?

Hi, folks,

Can I get an opinion or two on the following setup? Thinking of upgrading/replacing my primary design machine to this:

Core i7-3770K
Windows 7 Pro-64b
8GB DDR3 RAM
2TB HDD
120GB SATA SDD boot drive
DVDRW drive

I've got between $2-300 to spend on a video card after this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

that ivy bridge is a beast, ive had mine up to 4.9 (water cooled)
i would like a bit more RAM (ram is cheap, and there is no such thing as too much)
also !!--->GET A GOOD MOTHER BOARD<---!!

for a card... either a 7950(amd) or a 660ti(nvidia)

at least back in the day amd has been considered the "gaming" card, and nvidia considered the "work" card.. thats not so true any more. they are both good. If im not mistaken Alibre likes "gaming cards" anyway. For a manufacturer, i like asus or gigabyte. i do know that amd's are a lot easier to overclock (if ur into that sorta thing)

just get something that is "ment for gaming" and you'll be ok, the z77 is the newest chipset
generally ill spend roughly 2/3 to 3/4 of what i spent on the processor on the mobo
