One License, two pc's?

Is it true that I can load Alibre on my Desktop pc and on my laptop and be able to log on to the Alibre network from either machine? Basically the license can float between the two?

One licence

You will need to get a second licence number from Alibre for your laptop.then you can install and log on from either machine.

More specifically, go to your support page on the Alibre website
https://www.alibre.com/support/downloads.aspx

and look at the information for the sight key generator.

This is quoted from the Alibre Knowledge base.
https://www.alibre.com/knowledgebase/ContentMain.aspx
Title: Installing on Multiple Computers
Summary: Clarification on the issue of installing Alibre Design on multiple computers at the same location.

You may install and use Alibre Design on multiple PC’s. Typically, there are no adverse affects, however, your Alibre Design log in ID can only be used on one machine at a time. If you try and reconnect on another PC using the same ID, then you will be prompted to quit one of the Alibre Design sessions.

Installation may differ from one machine to the next, and if you experience problems, just let us know and we will do our best to resolve.

As a FYI, our existing policy is to not share usernames, which translates into not allowing other users to run Alibre Design via your username.

Thanks!.....I thought that it was ok to do. That makes an even stronger case to switch to Alibre. :D

I requested mine two days ago via the "Incident Reporting" system. Not a peep out of them yet, which is a bummer as it means two evening wasted, and I thought it would be a wuick thing to respond to.

Anyway, here's hoping.

The incident report system is not the method to get the second license key.

Go to the Alibre site (http://www.alibre.com) and sign in (upper right corner).

The account info link then shows up in the upper right corner. Click it and then click the link on the bottom of the account summary to apply for an additional key.
