I manage my Parts Lists (and, to a certain degree. archives) with Libre Office SBase. Nearly 65% of my work has to be archived in accordance with MIL-STD-1000.

MIL-STD-1000?! How old are the projects you're working on that the contract still calls out MIL-STD-1000?

(I'm assuming you meant MIL-D-1000, later DOD-D-1000, later MIL-DTL-31000, now MIL-STD-31000.)
