Ordinate dimensioning a non rectangular part

Anybody know how to ordinate dimension holes on a non rectangular part?

I want to set my reference to horizontal and vertical, but can't do the vertical, because there are no features in the vertical direction.

Thanks,
Eric

I guess I would add reference lines and nodes with constraints first. Then use them for your starting point.

I create a new layer call ordinate. Then with that layer active, I draw a horizontal and vertical line through whatever point I want to make the datum. I do my dimensioning from there. Sometimes I go back and make the ordinate layer invisible.

Do you do this in the drawing? I don't really see how to do that.

Edit: Nevermind I think I got it, I wasn't in sketch mode.

Thanks!
