panning without middle mouse button

I don't use AD all that often. I thought I remembered that you could pan by pressing both the L and R mouse buttons while also pressing either Shift or Control key (can't remember which). this was important to me because my middle mouse button (the wheel) doesn't work. But when I fired up AD2018, I found this method no longer works. Am I missing something (beyond a fully functional mouse)?

AD2018 adds ability to customise mouse behaviour. As part of that the (used by very few) option for using Shift key has been lost.

Check if any of the configurable options for mouse behaviour work for you. Failing that - replace or repair your mouse.
