Problems with faces in Assembly

I am having problems with faces disapearing when I insert a part into an assembly. It looks fine in part creation/edit, but as soon as it's in an assembly some of the faces turn transparent. Part was created from a moi3D file. It doesn't matter what format I export/import. See attached pics, video and part file.

Running Alibre Expert 32bit in Win7 x64, Core i3, Ati Mobility Radeon HD4570, 4GB RAM

Thanks for any help,
Nick

I have also had this happen on occasions, but all my parts are generic AD parts. I find if I open the part in question and hit F5 and then close it it fixes the issue.

Hi Nick,

Can you upload your part, before importing with Alibre?
(Looks like in your imported model are a lot of missing faces /surfaces.)

Wow, I didn't catch that. It was actually a complete tire/wheel combo from soilidworks that I split into tire and rim in moi. I thought I got all of the surfaces, but I missed those.

The complete tire/wheel combo from soilidworks would be much better.
Then we can take a look.

I have noted the same problem with parts in an assembly and also correct it by opening and closing the part.

Not a show stopper but certainly an annoying bug.

Yes, confirm same issue; some parts in assembly are missing faces. When the subject part is selected for edit and then closed, the face appears.
All parts are AD.

What up with that.

Uman,

There are two different problems.
In Nick`s part, as shown above, some areas/faces/surfaces are missing, that means the surfaces do not exist.

But your problem is here: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=12642&p=76608#p76608
