Repeating sketches along a line (not straight or circle)

Hi
I promise I have had a long look but I cannot see how to do this:-

I need to ripples on a design for an aluminium extrusion. They seem to be parts of a circle, so I have one circle and want to replicate the that circle at fixed distances along the path of the arc (part of an ellipse). The options only seem to be along a straight line and a circle.

Any pointers to how this is done.

Many thanks

What I need is for the sketches to follow path. Dimensioning them is of-cause an issue but nat as big as not being able to keep to the path.

If I have taken your response wrong, apologies but that's they way I have interpreted it.

Draw your ellipse.

Add lots of circles to it, making sure the centres snap to the elliptical curve.

Dimension all the circles to the same parameter (or use Equal Constraint).

Dimension the circles center to center OR add Ref Points to their intersection with the Ellipse and dimension the intersections.

Trim unwanted lines.

Ok thanks, I did not see the constraint to line come into play until I really zoomed in.

It will be time consuming but not super bad

If you need less or more than a semi-circle, see attached Part file:
