Replacing Molding Profiles using Catalog Feature
Catalog Feature Replacement Tip & Trick:
If you have a molding in a part based on a catalog feature, you can replace it quite easily with another Catalog Feature.
1. Insert and position the replacement Catalog Feature.
2. Move it in the Design Explorer to just above the feature you want it used in (and to replace a current catalog feature).
3. Either highlight the new catalog feature and Edit the Feature, or edit the Feature, selected the Sketch box, and then select the new Catalog Feature.
When you press OK, the new Catalog Feature will replace the old, and the old Catalog Feature will now be above the Feature in the Design Explorer.
The replacement Catalog Feature has to be just above the Feature for this technique to work.
Catalog Features are a great thing to use for molding profiles, and we make all or molding a Catalog Feature as a standard practice.
