I tried to save my file after a couple of changes & got this message:

Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Are files local or on a network resource ?

If on network resource try disabling (or at least setting to less aggressive) Microsoft's 'auto tune' feature on your PC. This can play havoc with network transfer of large files (e.g. 3D CAD). The same feature can also negatively impact USB connected storage.

The files are local. I had to close GM without saving (losing my work of course), then re-open the file. After that I've had no problems. 1st time I can remember this happening.

Years ago, Rose exceptions were not unusual. Quite rare now.

Make sure you have auto-save enabled with a sensible time value set between saves - that should minimise amount of work lost if problem re-occurs.

Thanks, I'll set the auto-save when I get back to the office.
