Save problems

Good afternoon all, I'm having problems saving some drawings. After I hit the save button, an icon appears in the taskbar, but doesn't save the drawing.

Has anyone else noticed this or does anyone have a solution? I don't know, or rather haven't noticed, if it is happening to models or assemblies as well, it just appears to affect drawings.
I'll have a go at recreating the error with other drawings while I wait for any replies.

Have you tried clicking the icon, to see if it brings a save dialogue to the front?

Good afternoon David, yes tried that but nothing appeared.
I can also close the icon as a small 'x' shows alongside it when I hover over the icon, but it just re-appears when I hit save again.

Sounds as if the dialogue may be 'off screen' somewhere - most frustrating.

I had a wee lightbulb moment and right clicked the icon. It then allowed me to maximise the dialogue box and save.
As you rightly say frustrating, but I'll try the tips in the link you attached to get it back where it should be.
