Saving new part.

Hi,
I go into 'make a new part' and design a unit on which I put dimensions. Is there a way to save that drawing with dimensions on it, besides just printing it out? Right now, the only way to save is to put it in a AD_PRT. I can call up that part; but, I have to use 'edit' to see the dimensions on that print. When I want to send that 'part print' out for a quote, most of the manufacturing facilities do not support any of the 'export choices' in Alibre.

Sounds like you created a sketch in a part not a drawing.

Do the following:
Finish creating your Alibre Part using sketches and features.
Create an Alibre Drawing.
Create Views of that part in the drawing.
Dimension and annotate the drawing.
Export from drawing as PDF, DXF, or DWG as needed.

Or
Copy your Alibre Part sketch.
Create an Alibre Drawing.
Right click and edit sketch of the sheet.
Paste the copied sketch.
Dimension and annotate the drawing.
Export from drawing as PDF, DXF, or DWG as needed.
