Section view issues

Anybody else get missing faces when doing a section view? This happens quite a lot to me, and turning the view on and off doesn't fix it. I have to dump out of GM and restart, and *maybe* it'll regenerate properly.

There are an awful lot of things lately that require me to completely quit the program and restart it...

Not in part or assembly environments, but drawings have shown that Alibre doesn't understand what is in front and what is behind. I blamed it on the hidden line removal, but maybe it goes a little deeper if models are having problems identifying faces within solids.

I've made a simple Sweet within a 2dplane today and then added a sectioning. Had the same Behavior.

When I ran into this, the fix was simple -- update my DirectX driver. It worked!

I often get this problem with imported STEP files, non native.

Not found a solution yet.......

This is one example part I can't section in 3d or 2d, also happens a lot with pcb board imports.

No problem.

SKF -> Website -> CAD files -> STEP/STP -> Download
Save -> unzip -> Open/import -> Save -> Section view without problems.
Please take a look, it is an assembly.

Must of been something to do with the Inventor assembly.

I do still get this problem with other parts which I can't explain but thanks for your help.

With the next step, I have created a Boolean Assembly.
(It is a "Normpart, therfore it is much better to have a single part/file.)
Section view -> works without problem.

This issue continues for me. To the point where the item being section often disappears completely. I have to bomb out of the program and restart.

I should set up a key shortcut for quitting the program... :?
