Set colour for notes in drawings

The note tool in drawings... it is set to black as default. I know I change the colour however it always reverts to blacks for every new note. Is there a way to set a different default colour?

There doesn't appear to be a way to assign or retain a note color as the default for new notes. And there is nothing in the Help to indicate anything other than creating notes and copying them.
Maybe the easiest way to create new notes with a particular color would be to copy a note that has the color you want then paste it to a new location and edit it for content. At least it will retain the color of the copied note.
