I cannot figure out how to set all of the default dimension style settings. I have successfully been able to set the default units to inches. But for each new drawing, I must manually set the format to fractions and the denominator.to 64. How can I set these as the default for new drawings?

As Harold says - customise your template, or better still make your own customised version. Either save your custom template to somewhere other than the Alibre templates directory, or make sure to make an archive copy as the default templates get replaced with each new version.
Wow!!! I'm very pleased after playing around with drawing templates. Not only do they completely resolve the immediate issue, they provide a lot more time saving functionality. I can even set the layer attributes now, which was to be my next question. Thanks guys!!!
