Sheet Metal features cannot be selected for Mirror

Depending on what you need to make there are ways around this like the one @NateH mentioned.
If you need to completely mirror half to make a symmetrical part - then have a look at making half in one sheet metal part and then combining the halves in a new part file using Boolean part features. Do one Boolean with half, do a Scale Mirror feature of that, then bring in the half again with another Boolean. You will have to fake the flat pattern by making a configuration of the half using Unfold feature. Or maybe convert to sheet metal and have yet another file.
If you need to create left handed and right handed parts then use the assembly mirror and let it make the new parts for you. I can not overstate how awesome that works.
