I have an unexplained notch in a sheet metal part that has defied my best efforts to eliminate it. I did attempt to offset the edges of the flange in question, but the notch just follows the offset. I am prepared to believe that I am doing something wrong . . . but I am stuck at this point.
The part will get turned into a flat .dwg and sent to a laser cutter. I have tried this to see if the notch shows up in the .dwg and it does, so this is something I actually have to solve vs. gloss over, which is what I would have preferred.

Apologies if this have been covered before--I did search a bit and didn't find the answer.
