Simple part that is bended with normal/tangent edges

A part that normally has to be designed with the "Sheet Metal" functionality. This is not :)

Brief explanation how this was done:

1. Create a cylinder with a diameter that is larger than the desired diameter of the resulting part

2. Create a perpendicular cylinder that has the diameter of the resulting part that intersects the larger cylinder. You should now have a "T".

3. Create a fillet on the edge between the two cylinders.

4. Create a shell that removes the smaller cylinder + the fillet (a total of 3 faces). Select the option "Shell Outwards".

5. You should now have a cylinder with a hole with the same shape as the desired part, but anti materia of course :)

6. Save the part as "Z1".

7. Remove the smaller cylinder and the fillet, resulting the first big cylinder.

8. Save the part as "Z2".

9. Invoke the function "Boolean Cut".

10. Insert "Z1" as the tool. Place it in the origo of the "Z2"

11. Execute the Boolean Cut.

12. Start a sketch on the end of the cylinder and create an "Through All" cut with the same diameter as the cylinder.

13. The little part with the bent shape should now be everything that is left!

Sorry if the explanation is not the best, but I don't have time (at this point) to do better. You better upgrade to 9.1 and open the file ;)
