SOLVED Loft cut error message ?????

What does this error message mean?
INCONS_EDGE_FACE_REL: Boolean could not determine the relationship between an edge of one body and a face of other body (ext)

I am doing a loft with 10 sketches. That works.
I then make 10 new sketches by projecting those 10 sketches to new sketches and do a loft cut at a different height so I have a curved wall (this will eventually be changed so the thickness is not uniform, for the time being is is uniform).
The second projected sketch causes this error, if I remove it all is well.
I see nothing untoward in the sketch, it seems to be exactly like the one it is projected from (as I would hope), and works fine in the loft boss.
Is there something else happening in loft cut?
For the moment I am at a loss, thanks in advance for any ideas.

Could you have got any of the sketches out of order in the loft?

I'm struggling to visualise how the projected sketches differ from originals - so as not to cut away the entire boss. I must be mis-understanding your words.

Here a picture. The loft cut is 3.2mm below the boss so 3.2mm material remains.

Aha... When I suppress everything but the loft boss and the loft cut from the part it works.
So it has something to do with the thicker part around the edge.
Maybe I can get it to work by changing the order of the features.

!! FOUND IT !! all Ok
The sketch was on the wrong plane :(
What is the easiest way to see on which plane a sketch is?
I haven't found anything good.
