I am new to MOI and surfacers of any kind.

Can someone please explain why I might be getting a thin walled solid, instead of a full solid when extruding a sketch?
I have attached the file I am working with.

I know it is something I am missing, just can't figure out what.

Thanks.

I'm a beginner too, but was able to create a solid.
(Need to turn the one dimensional outline into a 2d "cutout", then extrude it.)
Open sample in MOI.
Select and delete extruded portion, leaving outline. View from front.
Draw a Solid Plane which encloses the outline, in front view. The rectangle is actually behind the outline.
Do Boolean ISect, switch to split view and delete outline.
Extrude the remaining 2d plane portion.

(Your outline is a cookie cutter. Need to cut the cookie dough, and extrude it.)

Hi Clint,

Please take a look, there is a small overlap.

Here is the new *.3dm file, and now you can extrude/create a solid.
