Man that's great prizes!

[edit] I just wanted to state that if I did win I will be putting the the Half-Life 2 games on another contest in the future as I already have them. [/edit]

Edit from Jordan: This topic has been unstickied (or is that de-stickied?) Thanks to everyone for their participation!

Re: Stick Figure Competition

Yeah I don't think I need to add a file for my sample. I don't think it will be my main entry. Its rather plain but its articulated. I can pose it however I like*.

* I made it with a thin wall extrude and sometimes it will freak if parts overlap weird.

I knew some people would join the competition if I put it out here. I still haven't decided on a prize yet. I do have extra gift copies of Half-Life® 2 and Half-Life® 2: Episode One games for Steam. I'm kinda leaning toward that. Both are very good games. I bought both before and then got both again in the Orange Box set.

Ok I decided that is the prize: The first person shooter games Half-Life® 2 and Half-Life® 2: Episode One. A $30 value.

Use Alibre or do not use Alibre. There is no try.

I realize I may be disqualified because it technically is not a stick "man", more like a stick "grand master of the Jedi order". 8)

I'll throw in a free month of maintenance for the winner (if you are current on maintenance).

I think you are covered under my intentionally vague rules.

Don't forget to enter people. Its rather simple to participate and now Max has upped the prizes even more. Last entry date is 9-1-2008 and I will put a poll up for voting the winner very soon after.

Re: Stick Figure Competition

Here is my official entry. Max stepped up the detail level so I had to give something a little harder like that a shot.

I'll have to try uploading the file later. The forum is freaking out cause its too big.

I think Max's file is V11. We (poor V10 users  ) can't get into it yet.

Both Max and Nate's works are amazing.

Re: Stick Figure Competition

Thanks but I'm still hoping more people join in this weekend and blow ours out of the water.

Where is yours Aytac? How about our usual posters MilesH, wathavy4, indesign, JordanCClark. I would think JordanCClark would be all over this since mine was entirely a thin wall extrude.

[edit] Added zip to my Gordon post. [/edit]

Re: Stick Figure Competition

By the way, i have experienced very difficulties while working on this as similar as Ed described. I also hardly open, see the sketch and zooming operations with the Gordon.part although my both computers are very good. Especially while on the "shaded & visible edges" mode and on the AD Drawing window. Did you normally work while you were designing Gordon part with your computer Nate?

I'm just wondering if anyone has noticed this also. I am tracing some detailed lines from an image. I have to zoom in quite a bit. It seems like the lines I trace, while dead on as I draw them, do not correspond when I change the zoom. This happens when I zoom out to check the overall sketch and then zoom back in to 'tweak' the lines.
Is there a way to stop this from happening?

Good Job on the Super Man.

I'm not sure what this problem is in they way it is described. Could you get some screen shots of the issue and post them in that topic?
