Student Edu Version

I am currently finishing up my Mechanical Degree. I took a lab where I was able to obtain and learn Solidworks. Do you guys offer any type of an educational version? The version of soldworks had EDUCATIONAL VERSION plastered all over it, so the work done on it could not be published. I’m not a business major, but I would guess this would help promote your software, in that the more people that can use it proficiently the more widely it would be accepted in new business applications.

Thanks Guys,
William

Yes, provided you are graduating in USA or Canada it looks like alibre will gift you a commercial license of the std alibre product with no restrictions.

Pretty generous of them!

Note also everyone can use alibre xpress free, some limited functions like only 5 different parts in an assembly, and needing a constant internet connection but it can be used commercially and has no "watermarking" on its output.

That is a great deal from Alibre for graduating students. But if you are a new student or teacher you can also purchase Alibre for $69.95 (USD) at the Acedemic Superstore. They have certain requirements to show that you are a student or teacher but they are easy to send in. You can also buy other sofware too.
There web is http://www.academicsuperstore.com/index.html , check it out.
