Synchronizing global parameters

In an assembly parameters affecting more than one part have to be global. I have most parameters thus global. During the design of a (sub) part I thus add a global parameters by the dozens. Synchronizing is random. It can take arbitrary long. The update designs button has to be clicked random multiple times, all while the parameter entry box of the design wouldn't accept the string. Since Alibre is running with few dozens threads, the propagation of the parameters should be seamless, immediately. I experience frequent crashes. It could be that I'm doing something wrong.
The recovery process could do with a brush up. I end up with files thrown accross the disk to a recovery directory in the program path. This is a no-go in windows.
