tube profiles in wireframe

Right now I'm looking at an assembly made of tubes and sheetmetal. Unfortunately, when I look at some of the tubes in profile in wireframe mode, I don't see the true profiles. I see lines denoting the full width of the top and bottom faces, but for the actual curved geometry, I get lines that are not at the full width of the tube.

Might this be an error?

Yup, it was an error. For some reason, when I hit the "right view" button, the tube profile lines did not update. After panning around they automatically updated, and I have my profiles now.

The question then becomes, why didn't the profiles update automatically with the click of the "right view" button?

Ah, once again I spoke too soon. Panning did not correct the view (ie., update the profile lines), but rotating did. It seems that directly after I edit a feature, the profiles will not update on a view change, or on panning, or on zooming. However, after I've rotated, the profiles will update on a view change.

I'm going to pose this to the assistant to pass along to the developers.
